Ghostland
READING, WRITING AND MURDER

The Cherokee Heritage Festival is about to begin, and Buckskin, Oklahoma, is bustling--until the murder of Tamarah Birch, a third-grade girl from the tribal boarding school, dampens the festivities for the townspeople and especially for Police Chief Mitch Bushyhead.

Bushyhead has too few hard clues and too many suspects--a recently released mental patient, a school principal prone to fits of rage and an athletic coach who's departed previous jobs under suspicious circumstances.

The disappearance of Tamarah's roommate along with an older girl puts the police chief on a trail twisted by greed, manipulation, insidious secrets and deadly terror as Bushyhead races to find the, missing girls before the killer does.
