New priest Aldin must go to his goddess' most sacred and remote of temples and discover why he is needed.

Aldin, a new priest to the Goddess Kyanna, has just been given his first assignment: go to the Forest Mountian Temple. No priest fresh out of their apprenticship has ever been sent there, so why Aldin? He doesn't have much choice but to go, not that he's complaining. But when he arrives he finds a great deal to complain about. A man who only belittles Aldin as soon as he arrives then just as quickly flirts with him, fire demons that shouldn't ever be there, and priests and priestesses who don't appear to know what they need to do.
