Payden continues on with the daily struggle to survive amidst all the chaos around him. He takes refuge in a mall, where he has built a safety net from the outside world, giving him temporary peace of mind. But, when a new group of survivors call upon him for help, he must decide whether or not to help them or turn them away. His problems are further compounded when he discovers an eight year old girl roaming around in the mall, and an even greater decision must be made as to how he will be able to keep her safe.
