When Paxton moves in with her estranged grandmother after her father's death, she's not sure what to expect. A small town with new people and an entire summer stretching out before her â€" it's not a promising prospect.
Then Chaz waltzes into her life. He's strong and handsome and mysterious. He lives on a compound with a group of young adults and a scientist and word around town is that they are some sort of environmentalists. That explains why they traipse around the country doing some sort of work with state parks.
Paxton is intrigued.
But, there's something different about Chaz… something not entirely normal.
Not only that, but girls are disappearing in the area.
