Nila Miller has always taken care of her twin sister, Lil, even giving up the boy she'd been in love with years ago. Now that boy, Noel Dearing, is Lil's husband and Nila's best friend. They have a great relationship until Lil decides a baby will complete their family. Because of a medical issue, Lil can't have children of her own so she asks Nila to be a surrogate mother, and Nila has never been able to say no to her sister.
