After enjoying their sixth-month birthday party given to them by their woodland friends, kittens Fuzz and Spatz crawl into a delivery truck in hopes of finding more birthday presents. Carried far from Fairhaven Forest, they don't know how to find their way back home. Befriended by Sadie, a street-wise but lovable alley cat, they quickly find that life in the city is nothing like life in Fairhaven Forest. Their innocence is preyed upon by the local tom, Leroy, as he deceives them into helping him rob a store just for the pet food. Ultimately, the plot unravels, and Leroy learns a hard lesson in honesty. Eventually, with the help of a little girl and a missing pet poster with their pictures on it, Fuzz and Spatz are returned to Fairhaven Forest. The lasting effects of their innocence is found in Sadie as she decides that the city life is something she no longer wants, and she strikes out on her own in the direction of Fairhaven Forest. The bambi-esque quality of this film will appeal to people of all ages. Childlike innocence is a virtue that always leaves your heart smiling.
