It was a day like any other; a day on which - in a horrific manner - the sands of time were running out: it was the third Wednesday of July in the year 2040...for the first time in history the price of a barrel of crude exceeded $1,000...The Chinese government made a momentous decision; if they couldn't buy enough oil they would just have to take it...another power breakdown: looters would appear, as if, from nowhere...nuclear is not an option...mankind could have either hydrogen and ethanol - or food: not both...he finished by pleading that nuclear energy be given another chance...global warming is not just continuing: it's getting worse...if it becomes a choice between nuclear energy and Armageddon; are we going to choose Armageddon?...the greens led their supporters down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House...carrying their white placards with the letters "NNN" in red - "No Nuclear Never."...so the threat from the Ozone layer and global warming now becomes secondary...we will have world wide famine by 2041, possibly earlier...
