During the course of her mission she receives help from a very handsome, strange and mysterious man, a man that has her body singing and her steel nerves weakening.

However, Callista, who has never relied on anyone, and who feels more comfortable with her daggers and steel, than in silk, does not know how to deal with weak nerves. And would rather fight to the death, than admit she may be capable of love … of being loved.

And when one fights the creatures of the night … one does not have time for love.
