Echoes of the Crow — Ben Udochi

Echoes of the Crow is a cultural re-experience intertwined in a love triangle and a clash of traditional views. Bilala returns to his native community in Africa after two decades of absence that included life in America only to fall in love with Rolola a woman engaged to his childhood best friend. When Rolola is caught with him in a manner disapproved by the community and has to face a cleansing ritual, Bilala is determined to save her from the barbaric and degrading practice even if it leads to more taboos. As he struggles to reconnect with a way of life he had become estranged to and save the woman he loves from the humiliation of the cleansing ritual, he finds himself in the middle of a long standing conflict between the remote communities and the “Lost Ones” a band of fierce rebels. As the cock crow echoes a countdown to Rolola's cleansing, Bilala is not only determined to prevent the ritual but also reunite the Lost Ones with the rest of the communities and win the support of the natives for his desired relationship with Rolola.
