When a very expensive racehorse goes missing during a house party, all the guests are considered guilty. Gerrard suspects at least three people who have the right contacts to be able to make a horse vanish. Can he stop them from leaving, and taking their knowledge of the missing horse's whereabouts with them?

When nobody believes his suspicions have credibility, Gerrard calls upon his good friends of the Divine Club. With their help, he swiftly begins to suspect the culprit is the stunningly beautiful Brianne. But when she protests her innocence with a shockingly persuasive seduction, Gerrard forgets his doubts. Until he catches her sneaking about in the middle of the night and realises she has lied to him and, like everyone else at the house party, suspects he is behind the theft.

Someone is lying. Determined to get to the truth, Gerrard refuses to let her out of his sight. But with danger lurking around every corner, he struggles to make any headway proving his innocence, especially when it appears someone is trying to frame him.

While struggling against their lack of ability to trust each other, Gerrard and Brianne are drawn into a race against time to find out who is trying to make them both look guilty. The stakes become high when someone tries to kill Gerrard, not least because it swiftly becomes evident that Brianne's life is also in danger.

Can Gerrard persuade her to trust him? Or has placing his trust in Brianne been the worst mistake of his life; one that will leave him facing prison for a crime he hasn't committed?
