Global Warming! Economic Chaos! Famine! Pestilence! War! Our planet is in deep trouble and it's rapidly getting worse! It turns out that our troubles started 5,000 years ago when, in their ignorance and greed, our ancestors drove the dragon race and their magic from this world. They forced all of the dragons to flee, all but one, and he has lived among us as a human for many lifetimes. He doesn't remember that he is a dragon. He doesn't know that he is humanity's last hope to pull us out of the pit that we've dug for ourselves.
Thus begins the saga of retired widower, Paul MacCleary, who has not had a great year. Not only has Paul's wife recently died of a sudden and mysterious illness, but he has begun to hear her voice in his mind. If that weren't strange enough, a large dragon tattoo has mysteriously appeared on his body, a tattoo with the same beautiful eyes as his wife, a tattoo that moves, a tattoo that is changing him back into a young man!
When Paul is forced to accept that nothing in his life was what he thought it was, it begins a thrilling and passionate journey through the Highlands of Scotland and into worlds beyond. During his travels he must learn the truth about the dragon's magic. He must face his own fears in time to save everything he loves. He must become the dragon he was always meant to be.
