Mike and Peter run into a problem. How do you infiltrate a rest home to look for a murderer and a forger when it could be anyone in that rest home including the owner? That's when Mike remembers his grandmother. Peter calls her ‘the drill sergeant'.
Pat Ballard was a spy in the war along with her four closest friends. Mike lovingly calls them all his grandmothers.
They manage to turn the rest home up-side down with very little effort. Their roommates in the rest home are Buster the monkey, Jolly Roger the parrot, Daisy the Ferret, and two cats. Of course, there are no animals allowed in the rest home but no one has the nerve to tell grandma Pat.
The ladies are good at what they do and they are in a hurry to wrap up this case so they can get back to the wheelchair basketball tournament where they are known as ‘The Steam Rollers'. They have fun teaching the other patients how to do wheelies in their wheel chairs. This creates enough distractions so ‘The Steam Rollers' can investigate.
Welcome to another fun filled adventure with Mike, Peter, and all their friends.
This is not a cliffhanger story! It is a complete, clean, cozy mystery story for all ages. Full of the escapades of Mike and Peter, the FBI agents, along with their friends who like to have fun.
