Almost everybody knows about Victor Taggert. He was imprisoned for arranging at least 200 murders over many years. Almost nobody knows about Marcus West. He wants to retire, but cannot. He wants his daughter to find a husband, but dares not tell her so. His wife still calls his windowless office in a cave. Even so, when Taggert escapes from prison, it is Marcus West who must prevent Taggert's next murders -- and the police can do nothing to help. Taggert thinks West will die easily, but West does something unexpected: He wraps both arms tight around his strong Christian faith.
