Featherwood Forest is a magical place. It is situated on the edge of the Village of Ticklefield. Just above the Featherwood Forest is the Rainbow Arches Nursery School. Mrs. Cloudburst, the teacher, welcomes all the little clouds in the sky every day to school. It is important to her that the little clouds from the very beginning learn that all things on the earth and all things in the sky are connected. The things that happen on the earth have an impact on the sky above. The things that happen in the sky also have an impact on all things on the earth. This story illustrates that reality. Dee the Bee, the fashionable, energetic bee living in Hive 41 at the edge of Featherwood Forest, has a lot of lessons to teach us. She finds Eddie the Badger working much too hard and decides to do something about it. Eddie the Badger has no time for himself. He has never seen the sky. Burrowing into tunnels every day leaves Eddie the Badger with a stiff neck so that he cannot look up. Dee the Bee carefully crafts a solution to Eddie's need to take time for himself and see the sky. She brings earth and sky together and helps Dollop the Cloud feel good about giving everything she has to make Eddie the Badger's dream come true.
