Gordie is trying to comne up with the perfect act for the third-grade talent show--only he doesn't have any special talents. He decides to teach his dog a new trick, but Scratch isn't very good at following directions. Scratch is only good at eating, sleeping, and getting chased by squirrels. Gordie has just one week. He needs a little luck--and a lot of peanut butter--to turn his mindless mutt into a super-smart show dog!
