Homicide detective, Jack Harmon is a man on the edge. He's been depressed and has been drinking a lot and is prone to blackouts. He watches TV with his gun on the coffee table. Jack picks up the gun, and puts the gun to his head. Then he puts it in his mouth, but can't pull the trigger. Jack finds physiologist named is Dr. Felicia Wells. She can tell by the way Jack looks at her that he finds her attractive, but she lets him know early on, that she is married. Halfway through one of their sessions, Felicia seduces Jack. After that, all of their sessions are sexual. They don't talk anymore, they just have sex. Or do they?
Suddenly, Jack finds himself under arrest, accused of four counts of murder. Now Jack is left to wonder, did he really kill those people during one of his blackouts.
