The arrival of the new S.M.O. was causing a stir amongst the nursing staff at St Mary's. Natalie, loyal to the man she loved, was the only one who remained indifferent. But even she had to unbend a little when he gave her doctor father valuable assistance. Disillusioned with her private affairs, she threw herself whole-heartedly into her demanding life at the hospital, deceiving herself into believing that she needed nothing more.
