This collection is a career defining collection for me as you see now 18 years in operation combined online and print. This collection houses "When Angels Wept Blood" and "Revisiting the Loss of Blood" both are very epic and cinematic dark tales -- one's a work of urban fantasy and the other is creative nonfiction. This will have a revised introduction as you get over 278 pages of horror, Urban Fantasy and Gothic madness. 33 tales over all but nine of them are true including "Apt. #2W" and "A South Barrington Haunting" within these pages you will have some very rigid nightmares detailed from the eras of 1998, stories about 1997 and 1996 from was on the verge of turning 20 and when I was 19 years old.
I had found all the artwork and photographs said to be lost during 2001 as this will be included with the new TOC design work and the photos like in the lulu.com edition will also be in this edition too. I will have more aspects in the layout work on this collection as you will see the Glimmertrain version of "Damnation Observes" which is 2400 words, a potent story that was said to be lost and became the story rewritten into "The Pattern of Diagnosis." Even in this form it was potent. Stories were from The Ethereal Gazette I contributed and stories that were in The House of Pain. "The Fandom Writer" had been rewritten and giving the edit known as "The Howling Man" version -- the much more hardcore version than the original 2004 cut. It's known as the Director's Cut. Get ready for some serious haymakers from beginning to end of the collection. I am not screwing around with Dirty Black Winter. I bring the prototype story of my longer works to the fold with this one as many readers know my signature when they see the ultra-violent Gothic Horror tale known as "A Cemetery Dream."
If you think Kealan Patrick Burke is the master of the macabre you might also be convinced that Limp Bizkit is a heavy metal band or have a majority of your metal releases being *metal. "The Fandom Writer" in the book has some more trash talking. Brian Keene is one of the biggest trash talkers in the business as I am prone to talk some trash over the years. The introduction has some trash talking in the mix about the media and of Stephen Glass. The story which will be in this is a very clean dark bizarro story called "Damnation Observes" as the 2400 word version. These stories will leave more for the reader where that came from; and you will come back for more. Some of them in this book -- will have a vibe to what was just was published, what would you tell your younger self (as he came to CreateSpace.com and welcome.) 278 pages of Gothic Literature drawn from urban life and the horror that came from it.
