With the pressure off, and the Magi a world away, Alex begins training for the inevitable. But trouble soon rears its ugly head as unexpected side effects from the bonding with Balthazar kick in. The demon lord isn't immune to the changes, and as he tries to cope with gaining a decidedly too heavy conscience, as well as the loss of his kingdom, he fails to notice the shift in Alexandra until it is too late. Without Balthazar to rule over the kingdom of Devas, a brutal civil war ensues that rocks the entire world of demons as all nations choose a side. If Tavi isn't able to stop Ashdad and his Magi created army, Alexandra may have even more problems on her hands than the changes going on inside of her.
