Deadly Trouble — J.R. Roberts

After Clint Adams and Eclipse are injured in a fall, they are cared for by a lone Indian brave who promises to stay with the horse while Clint goes for help. Clint finds he has a deadly journey on foot ahead of him, to get help for the big Darley Arabian -- and himself -- or the horse may die. Although successful in getting treatment, Clint finds that during the time of their recovery they will become embroiled in the problems of a lady rancher whose property is in danger of being bought out from under her.
