Daughter of Cleopatra — Jason Vanhee

Selene is the child of a Goddess and the greatest of the Romans. She will rule a kingdom in her own right and serve as Queen of Egypt with her brother beside her. But her dreams are shattered when the hated invaders under Octavian, soon to be Augustus Caesar, conquer Egypt and defeat her mother. Taken as a captive to Rome to be shown in a cage to cheering Romans, she will struggle to survive and maintain her pride. Though Augustus opposes her, Selene will seek to become the woman her mother Cleopatra was: clever, self-possessed and dangerous. The years will pass and she and Rome will both change, but the one thing that that will never change is her devotion to the dream of one day going home to Egypt, to the flooded land of her youth, and to the treasured memory of the time when she was Pharaoh's child, and heir to divinity.
