A tortured Carpathian believes his lifemate was part of the plot to capture him but the doctor and he work together to heal his body and mind and to find the vampire who is working with the humans. Good tension and character development. Need to read t
I think Jacques was the most gentlemanly out of the Carpathians so far, excluding a couple. He was the most accepting if "his woman" did anything crazy, but thats probably because he knew he was helpless. I liked that Shea was mentally strong and she had common sense to boot.
