A mixture of mystery, fantasy, and Gothic romance with a twist, Dancing with Shadows introduces you to the world of Raven's Winter. A covenant based on ancient Celtic beliefs, it is a place where passions are strong, love is in full bloom, and the magic is deadly real.
This is the story of Emily D'Artagan, heiress apparent to the station of Mistress of the covenant, and her return to the Winter for Samhain with the purpose of ascending to her postion. She finds an incriminating Ogham, a secret message and contract between the conspirators that killed her parents years earlier, and in her attempt to find answers she releases the wrath of a peoples long since thought relegated to myth and legend. The ensuing chaos and mystical murders by a pair of ghostly hounds brings her in contact with the Jewish police detective, Joseph Alberg. While a romance begins to blossom, the events that have brought them together threaten to destroy their new found relationship. And there is something even more deadly than the hounds aloose in Raven's Winter, something that walks on two legs.
Joseph's partner, Sammy Carr, suspects that Emily knows more than she is telling, and despite his disbelief in anything occult Sammy has an unfortunate deep sensitivity to things outside the ordinary.
So the stage is set as the plot twists on, winding the characters toward a conclusion that can only be found in the misty woodlands at the edge of Raven's Ribbon, set beneath the shining silver light of a full Autumn moon...
