Cram's Raid, is set in fourth century BC England, at the dawn of the Iron Age. Celts were just starting to migrate to England from Iberia, Portugal, in small numbers. Headhunters clashed with men just starting to learn to be farmers, Stone Age weapons clashed with Iron Age swords. Against this setting, four young brothers steal women, and start a tribe, as love blossoms. The brothers prosper, and their tribe grows as they become farmers, despite the violent death of some. Later, one of their sons, Cram, is faced with the problem of acquiring wives for his sons; his only experience has been to raid another tribe, in order to obtain the women. Cram sets out on a raid, for brides. Love struggles with violence. Purpose and fortune collide, enabling Cram to successfully find wives for his tribe. Yet vengeance for a beheaded uncle, drives Cram to continue the raid against headhunters.
