Maggie Hennessy had everything: she was New York's top model, a jet-setter who adorned as many magazine covers as she did arms of famous men. But Maggie was tired -- tired of instability, tired of empty glitters and urban tension. She found an escape at her grandparent's old home in Maine, at Cove's End.
She found, also, that the house was now a tourist cottage run by her grandfather's sister, a woman Maggie had never met. The guests included Dr. Jacques Roland, darkly handsome but also strangely, cruelly lascivious; Evelyn Fabian, a beautiful film star on a mysterious vacation; and Robert Samuels, a kind, leisurely man who was, of all things, a detective.
Beneath the resort's surface tranquility, its semblance of peace and quiet, was the rumble of something evil. Cove's End had rented its rooms to mystery, maybe even to murder…
