From the "New York Times" best-selling author of "Oakdale Confidential," "Jonathan's Story," "When a Man Loves a Woman," "Annie's Wild Ride" and the Figure Skating Mystery series, comes "Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume Two)" - where what happens next is up to you!

Previously, in “Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume One),” Victoria Morgan agreed to come work for the mysterious Cooper family, unprepared for the web of lies that she discovered there - or to fall in love with Douglas Cooper's playboy son, Robin. A development that Robin's wife, Nicole, had no intention of accepting gracefully - even if it meant destroying the only person who ever gave a damn about her.

“Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume One)” ended on a cliff-hanger, at the end of which readers were invited to contribute their suggestions for where the story should go next.

“Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume Two)” is the result of Adams taking those reader suggestions and incorporating them into the next book in her series.

How will Victoria react to Nicole blackmail? Will she sacrifice the man she loves in order to protect her family? How long will she be able to keep Robin from finding out about what she's done? And what effect will the reveal of a thirty year old Cooper family secret have on them all?

Find out in “Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume Two),” then offer your own thought for where the story should go next!

Amazon Reviews for “Counterpoint: An Interactive Family Saga (Volume One)” "

Loved the first volume of Counterpoint and can't wait for Volume 2 to come out! The characters come alive within the first chapter, and I found it very hard to put the book down between chapters! The story is filled with both excitement and mystery! The volume ends with a cliffhanger, and the fans get to offer feedback to help determine the outcome and set the stage for Volume 2! Brilliant! And very brilliantly written! Great job Alina Adams!

This book harkens back to the good old days of high-end glamor and drama, the kind of books that Jackie Collins and Judith Krantz did at the height of big hair and big shoulder pads… The book is also a ground-breaker in that it's the first of a series set up for readers to give opinion and feedback to the author to help shape what happens next in the series…. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys soaps, drama and romance.

I *love* family sagas. I love Dickens. I love soap operas. I love giving my opinions on anything and everything. Counterpoint has ALL of this. It is, quite simply, the latest iteration of what Charles Dickens used to do in a serial form in the British news-journals of the late 19th Century. What makes it even more fun is that now it's electronic and readers get to weigh in on what happens next. I love cliffhangers and wondering where a story will go-- what is marvelous about Counterpoint is that Alina Adams' fans have a voice in those story decisions. I, for one, can't WAIT for the next installment!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

In addition to four romance novels ("The Fictitious Marquis", "Thieves at Heart," "Annie's Wild Ride," "When a Man Loves a Woman"), five figure skating mysteries ("Murder on Ice," "On Thin Ice," "Axel of Evil," "Death Drop," "Skate Crime") and three books of non-fiction, Alina Adams scripted "Pure Soap" for E! Entertainment, "Loving/The City" transitions for ABC Daytime, and worked as a researcher for the Daytime Emmy Awards from 1996 to 2006. At TeleNext Media, she wrote the "As The World Turns"' tie-ins, "Oakdale Confidential" and "The Man From Oakdale," and co-wrote the "Guiding Light" tie-in, "Jonathan's Story." As Creative Content Producer, she pioneered the first ever on-line continuation of a soap opera with http://www.AnotherWorldToday.com, and followed up with the GL sequel, Mindy's Twitter.
