Collectives in a Forsaken Metascape — Nickolaus Pacione

Pacione with this collection settles quite a few things once and for all. Proving he was plagiarized as the controversy the past year is "Stygian Dealer" getting plagiarized. He brought out the original version of "Media Darling" plus some stories which were not seen before. Some of the material was anthologized by others but this was material he thought he didn't want rotting in a drawer somewhere. Pacione has several longer stories in this collection 17 stories in all and every one of them are very dark in nature. As dark as his debut if not more so or Dirty Black Winter which is soon to emerge.
Basically in a nut shell this is boatload of really f***ed up new material. As well as a story that was a staple in 2007 called "O.W.I.F." submitted for Chimeraworld #3 but didn't make the cut. One will find the story he tried to introduce to smashwords.com but someone lied to get him tossed. The true story in the collection is "A Personal Stalker." Pacione unleashed the story that was a direct result of Karen H. Koehler trying to stop Legend Keeper as this outlines what he plans to do after he engaged Eric Hovind. Houses a FictionPress.com based freebie called "Things That One Finds" which is the other humorous story as the opening story is. Though the humor is very cringe worthy because of the dark subject matter of both.
Many of these stories can go toe-to-toe with the author who wrote "Baby's First Book Of Seriously Fucked-Up Shit" well you can't get more f***ed up than this. "Gruesome Cargo II" had his roster laughing with him when he saw the rejection letter from TOR.com as he explored a concept Stephen King also did. This will also carry the sequel to his most notorious short story, "The Fandom Writer" on a larger scale as the artwork was a negative version of this drawing. Pacione's collection is even more f***ed up than Collectives was or An Eye In Shadows. It's on par to An Eye In Shadows on the level of f***ed up it is.
"Fecal Heart" addresses Cough Medicine abuse (Dexing) as he implied his former classmate who snubbed his dying contributor. Pacione sent her into the realm he uses to taunt naysayers known as Tabloid Hell Ripping her world apart as he equates it to what Al Bundy's glory was; her infamy as an adult will overshadow this. He was asking other classmates what they remembered of her vile side so his roster can confront her the same way he did. He shows why he's known for laying down cryptic haymakers. If you called him a retard after reading The Fandom Writer II -- go find yourself the nearest MMA fighter ask them to beat the shit out of you.
This collection will show what Pacione horror is like when he combines his faith elements with the dark nihilism of what he came up with in his twenties. "Fecal Heart," "The Fandom Writer II," "Media Darling," "Digital Wasteland," and "Our World Is Fucked" are his most nihilistic work. He got really nihilistic with "Fecal Heart" as he used the yearbook photo of the one classmate to create the most nightmarish scene which mirrors his closing story. The element Pacione did with a lot of is 1997 work is he had the element known as "I'm You " which is the most frightening subject matter he did. This element is brought to the fold when he wrote "Places in the Cold" in Collectives In A Forsaken Landscape -- the drawing was from the time he was hospitalized for his first nervous breakdown. There's more supernatural horror within the pages of this collection as a majority of the work in here have that element. The other classmate in the story the nonfiction counterpart lived in Oak Lawn around the time Pacione lived in Justice did a no-no; snubbing the dead. Contains his most creative kills.
