Code Name Wrangler deals with CQB (Close Quarter Battle) and how to storm a hijacked aircraft to rescue hostages. It is a subject that I know a great deal about and a story that I enjoyed writing more than almost any other GMJ Book. It is also a book that is classified as standard reading material by many SWAT Units worldwide and no doubt will help save souls one day. You may be sure that what you are about to read is 100% technically correct. Ironically, storming an aircraft to rescue hostages is bread and butter work for Special Forces, and it has been successfully accomplished dozens of times. We also examine, in detail, other rescue attempts. Military history is what I enjoy most and therefore we can learn from the successful Entebbe Raid and the Lufthansa Mogadishu Rescue. However, unfortunately, sometimes we must learn from failures as is the case with the ill-fated Operation Eagle Claw (Tehran Embassy) and the Munich Olympics. A few hostages died during the rescues but so did the terrorists, that is one of the points I highlight. If, by some ill fortune, you are a terrorist and reading here, please note something â€" your chances of surviving us is zero. We don't aim to wound during such times or any other time. We aim to kill you in the shortest time possible and we know exactly how to do so. Death is instantaneous by design. Even the type of bullets used and discussed in this book is designed with only one purpose, to kill human beings efficiently. You will also find out what the words “double tap” really mean in my world. You are warned, try me and see what happens. Paradise, if it exists, awaits the foolish. For obvious security reasons, all of the rescue methods revealed here are already known. I made very sure of that. But, and this is important, the way that secret agents are involved with Special Forces during rescues is not generally known. Especially the technical services which are supplied by the spies are used extensively. Before an aircraft is stormed, unless on Immediate Action Drills, we know exactly what the terrorist looks like, where he is, what weapons and explosives he has available and what his likely reaction could be. This is not by chance. And then there are the snipers, waiting patiently for the order to make an end, and make no mistake, the order will be given.Description: Spymaster extraordinaire, Angelique Dawson is leading and commanding a hostage rescue mission. A C-130 Hercules aircraft has been taken over by eco-terrorists threatening to release dangerous snakes and kill the hostages if any rescue attempt is made or the demands not met. The C-130 is standing on an apron on the Indian Ocean island of Madagascar, the snakes, if they escape, will devastate the ecological environment as well as the locals. Angelique calls in South African Army Special Forces to assist her and her team, consisting of her later husband, former Police Special Forces Company Commander, Geoffrey Foxtrot and his mate, former Police Special Forces Captain Geelslang Peter Ndebele, a legendary officer. Angelique is facing other problems as well. She has a female agent, Blondie, on the aircraft. A woman that infiltrated the terrorist group and must be rescued or somehow removed from the aircraft without the rest of the terrorists understanding what is happening, during or before the rescue. This aspect is giving Foxtrot, desperately trying to keep Angelique safe, reason to worry. He knows that Angelique Dawson will terminate the hostage situation quickly and violently. There will not be long, drawn out, protracted negotiations, rather, she will give the order to attack and will want to lead that attack... If you wish to read about Covert and Special Forces Operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, the GMJ Books are the place to start. You will learn about covert operations, Special Forces techniques and military history not known outside the select few. Code Name Wrangler is book 17 of the GMJ Series.
