Iris was running for her life. Roy swore she wouldn't live to spend the money she won in the divorce. She found the perfect haven in the boarding house in a small Texas town under her new name. That's where she found Bull, too. He looked like a refugee from a rodeo. His jeans were baggy, the rear end sagged. She could nearly see through his thin, faded shirt. The scruffy boots should be burned. His hat hid half of his face. Those were his good attributes. Bull's disposition was lacking. Grumpy was his good mood. Anger was his other mood. He looked scrawny. He was, it seemed, a most unlikely hero. However unlikely he appeared, Bull had skills she couldn't believe. Roy couldn't believe them either when he came gunning for Iris and found Bull instead. Iris couldn't believe when she lifted the crammed down Stetson and found the handsome man.
