Daisy's soiree is slowly winding down: midnight and the New Year are approaching, and most of her friends have received visions of the one choice that will shape their romantic life. With just enough time for one more vision, it is Brad's turn to go to the seer Sam Woods and get a peek at things to come.

Earlier in the evening, Brad's girlfriend, Joan, was shown their married life and children, and Brad can't wait to see what he expects will be the same idyllic future. However, he discovers something else entirely, something that leaves him â€" and Daisy â€" shocked and asking questions for which Woods has no good answers.
