Bounce the Cloud and Squiggles and Riggles the Squirrels — Ann Ferry

Squiggles the Squirrel and Riggles the Squirrel are twin squirrels. They were born to Sally the Squirrel in Featherwood Forest. Sally the Squirrel taught both of her sons to take care of themselves before she went to live at the edge of the forest. Squiggles the Squirrel liked to climb to the top of the trees while Riggles the Squirrel was content to play with his friends on the forest floor. Riggles the Squirrel looked at his brother Squiggles the Squirrel and knew he too had the ability to climb. He realized when he tried to climb however, that he was afraid. Riggles the Squirrel just needed to find the courage to climb. Bounce the Cloud is on her way home after a day in the Rainbow Arches Nursery School in the sky above Featherwood Forest. Mrs. Cloudburst had given Bounce the Cloud some homework to do. Bounce the Cloud was to help someone on her way home from school. Bounce the Cloud is very anxious to help someone and after looking very carefully on the earth, she found she could help Riggles the Squirrel find his courage. With Bounce the Cloud's help, Riggles the Squirrel finds out that he could climb after all. He would climb in his own time.
