Johnny Harper figured that as soon as he started running Boot Heel, they'd know he was around. But his father -- old Will Harper -- had other ideas. To twenty-year-old -- and especially one who refused to wear a gun -- could handle Boot Heel. Old Will, now that his older son was dead, figured to turn the ranch over to one of the hands.
