Eighth grader Bob Katz is a long way from home. He and his family have recently moved from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Monroeville, Alabama. Bob is trying hard to fit in, but seems to rub everyone the wrong way, earning the new nickname Bobnoxious. In order to deal with their new problem student, Bob's new school assigns him a Teacher's Aide, something Bob is simply not willing to accept. Bob's new Aide, Ms. Louise, manages to take Bob's misguided energy and focus it on something they can both agree, getting rid of state standardized tests! Bob takes on the system in creative ways that tests the principal's ability to control Bobnoxious and the rest of the school. They have no idea that what he is about to do will not only change the educational system in Monroeville, but the whole country! With a little help from his friends, as well as Harper Lee, the author To Kill A Mockingbird, Bob uses common sense to help adults see it his way. The results will have an impact for years to come.
