Set during gay pride, Freddy, an innocent victim and mentally challenged young man decides he is gay after becoming soap opera obsessed. Soap operas have embraced gay culture and so has Freddy who sets off to find himself. Along the way he meets some colourful characters and makes new friends and grows up but only after a tragedy, which is the story of Freddy's life, so far.
A bitter sweet tale of friendship and redemption, influenced by the good and very bad people that come and go throughout Freddy's short lifetime, helped along by a very angry seagull that also ends up deciding what really matters.
