Dumped into 1889 Tombstone, librarian Emily Dennison finds life surprisingly harsh. Meeting newspaperman Zachary Tremaine, she gets involved in his mission which leads to more adventure than she ever imagined. Spunky Emily earns Zach's admiration and soon his love, but just when he thinks he's won her, she vanishes, leaving him confused and bereft. Reappearing to take a bullet meant for him, she draws him back into her time.
