Angel's Hour — Annie Zak

Contemporary Jane Eyre set in Manhattan. Angelica Jellicoe is fed up with her teaching job and becomes governess to the niece of media mogul, Kev Cavanaugh. Angel must contend with family dynamics in the grand brownstone, as well as with internal politics at the conservative Badger News Network. And then there is the mystery surrounding the past of Aunt Liz, governor of Utah, who is considering a run for the U.S. Presidency. Angel also questions the motives of the wealthy and enigmatic Kev, who seems to pale in comparison to his brother Tim.
