Always Yours
Resi had loved and idealised Lucian Marlow ever since she was a little girl and now that she was grown up she loved him still. But how did he feel about her? He had always been kind to her, interested in her; during the long years she had been an invalid he had cheered and comforted her, but that was all. Clearly he saw her still as the charming, delicate child he had always known.

As far as his personal romantic life was concerned Lucian had very definite ideas: he wanted a rich, suitable wife who would give him a son and even if he had ever considered Resi, the only thing that she would never be able to do was to give him a child. So Resi must stop hoping for anything from Lucian, but how could she ever make herself stop caring?
