Mark Longstreet was as tough as they came when he was a Marine serving in the Vietnam War, having won the Silver Star for bravery while there. Mark had thought the horror of war was behind him when he was finally honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, returning home to his wife and two children. The big tough Marine, Mark Longstreet would be brought to his knees by the passing of his daughter, as he too would turn to alcohol and narcotics attempting to drown the hurt that never left his mind. All of this would change as mysteriously as it had begun one night when Mark found himself lying on the ground in front of an adolescent rehab center. Mark was drunk and on drugs and had come here in the middle of nowhere to finally put a stop to his never ending pain. Destiny had further plans for Mark however as he was about to engage in the biggest conflict of his life. Yes, Mark would soon be called upon to once again become the tough Marine he thought had died with his daughter. What a war this would prove to be, with the battle ground only a few feet away from where he laid on this star studded night.
