Jack Palmer is a white fifteen year old high school student more interested in writing his graphic pirate novel about a white pirate and his twin black Jamaican voodoo priestesses who end up with twenty girls between them, than sports or girlfriends. When twin Jamaican girls with names very similar to the ones in his book join his school they become friends as he tutors one of them in math. When an upcoming dance spurs the girls to resort to voodoo to get asked the make a doll of Jack and make their spell incantations. It works and they go to the dance as an Oreo Cookie. Love strikes the girls and they up their voodoo spells to include Jack as the object of their affections. They have no idea what road that they have set themselves upon in their voodoo world, for in his novel their identical characters resort to using voodoo to their own love ends. They ended up married to the same pirate and giving birth to ten girls each. Luci and Chanta Moore go off to another city and later at Tulane University run across their old love Jack Palmer. Love has not died and when the family offers to help house the twins during their college years their parents agree. Love is back and marriage to the twins is next. Somehow they both end up as the man's wife just like in his novel. When one twin turns up pregnant with quadruplets they all know that the little novel is coming alive The rest can only be guessed as they face reality that somehow twenty girls will come to be in their family
