Terrorism comes to New York City as two groups battle in mortal combat. The Joint Terrorism Task Force attempts to prevent a Fourth of July massacre planned by Muslim fundamentalists. The leader of a small cell of al-Qaida operatives is cunning and well practiced in his craft of terrorism. Jay Phillips, a New York City Police Detective, helps in the pursuit of the terrorists as he joins this FBI supervised Task Force. His wife died in the World Trade Center collapse and this motivates him to use all of his skills and knowledge to prevent the Independence Day massacre. The quest to pursue the perpetrators during and after the success of the terrorists leads him to Chinatown, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris and Cairo. He is persistent and unrelenting in his search as he enlists the CIA to help him. Phillips sense of duty pushes his personal needs aside as he hunts the killers. This is a story about courage, valor and determination as one man takes on terrorists who are sworn to kill us.
