A Professor's Affair — Donald F. Averill

Dr. Ned Curtis, a young professor of geology at Ocean Vista Universityin Southern California, is trying to cope with a problem. Two beautifulyoung women, one of which is his student, are attracted to him and heis interested in both of them. However, both women are married, whichcreates a major hurdle. One woman is a friend from long ago, and theother is a recent acquaintance. He knows his limitations; he can only havea relationship with one woman at a time or face disaster. What is he todo? He must keep each woman from knowing about the other. Should hedevelop a relationship with the blonde or the brunette? And what abouttheir absentee husbands? Should he fear reprisals?
