Curious about the odd piece of jewelry, Archer accidentally activates the charm's powers while studying its three identical crystals and thinking about the white stone city before the earthquake and tidal wave carried it to its grave. The three crystals merge, he looks up and is shocked to discover that he's no longer underwater. He's sitting on a grassy knoll and Baccio, the crystal master of the ancient land city, is standing at his side. The powers in the crystal triad charm have carried Archer centuries into the past.

Archer asks Baccio if he knows the reason for the deadly aura in the underwater city and is told the city originally contained three crystal balls. The loss of The Crystal of All Time destroyed their balance and released the earth's energy that created the earthquake that took the city to its grave. If Archer can find a way to return the missing crystal ball to its pedestal, the aura will disappear and the air breathers can return to their ancestral home.

Archer will face unknown dangers if he chooses to try to take the crystal ball away from Chion, the tyrant king of the frozen sea.  But if he uses the powers in the crystal triad charm to travel into the past to take the crystal ball from Chion's father, he'll arrive during the earthquake and tidal wave that destroyed the city. Does he have the skills and the courage to challenge either of them and bring the dead city to life?
