A Little Different — Emily Meidenbauer

The school year is coming to a close, and thirteen-year-old Eliza Gates just got the news from Aunt Brooke. A talented musician who recently landed a record deal, Brooke Gates is about to embark on an eight-week long tour over the summer, and she asks her niece Eliza to accompany her on the trip. Eliza doesn't hesitate to say yes, but is also disappointed about leaving behind her circle of friends and her boyfriend, Andrew. On July 1st, Eliza and Aunt Brooke hit the road and set off on a journey that will take them much further than they expected. While on tour, Eliza and Aunt Brooke will pick up a familiar "hitchhiker" who will force them to make life-changing decisions. Aunt Brooke's plans for the future might have to change. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just a little different.
