A Flower for a Fragile Soul — Paul Harrison

Humans ever wanted to explore the stars. But, the limitations of the body prevented long-distance travel. So knowing this, the humans devised a project that would blur the lines between what a human was and was not. They sent their creations out into space. Not knowing that when they returned, they brought back more than the answers they desperately sought. Faced with a distressing revelation for their futures, humans once again blurred the lines of humanity dealing with this new threat. The humans did not know that this project would save and doom them. Adding to their issues, the humans realised that their creations were becoming more human than they were; two of these creations would break the rules and find the hidden mistakes and lies that would lead to an unexpected outcome and, in turn, lead to a single choice.
