A Different Undead
The face is pictured in every young witch's textbooks--Celeste Moonbeam, a black witch of the worst kind. She was killed before the Black Plague hit Europe and buried at a crossroads, so that she couldn't rise again. Yet Babet sees her, walking down a street in River City. Soon, a new vampire drains a girl on the River Walk, only to have her jump to her feet, alive once more, and run off. When the vampire describes her to Babet, she recognizes Tamber Grisly, a witch from Old Times whose cruelty is renowned. Someone's summoning the worst witches in history, restoring them to life. Who has that power? And what does he have in mind? Can Babet and Prosper save River City from a coven of undead witches?
