A Bridge of Days — Perry Thomas

Joey and Danny are best friends across a deep cultural divide. They are celebrating their sixteenth birthdays while crossing Europe along with Joey's family. Although they are both coming from Southeast Asia, they are heading in different directions. Joey, after living abroad for several years, is going to his virtually unknown homeland. Danny is returning to an Asian homeland that has suddenly been racked by revolution. The title A BRIDGE OF DAYS refers to the three weeks spent together that stretch like a bridge between the two teenagers' fondly remembered childhood and the rather daunting future that lies just ahead of them.
