In '2018' Adebayo Zuwo, a Nigerian American unwittingly brings the deadly virus inside the United States and infects his daughter. But he is spared because he is a carrier.

Why? He was born before both the 1957 and 1968 pandemic influenza, were exposed to them, survived and received immunity against them. His daughter passes the virus to her classmates and they to their parents. Overnight the town has 150 cases. It is quarantined. No one can go outside the set boundary. It is early January 2020.

Ten high school students escape the quarantine to go to Miami to watch Super Bowl in early February. Thousands were exposed and infected at the stadium. Mathematical modelers predict millions will die. Deborah, the president's appointed pandemic czar, says no one dies if each one does his part.

Does the virus kill millions? Or does it kill no one?
