Description
Zenobia, Queen of Palmyra, high Priestess of Isis, direct descendant of the Macedonian kings of Egypt. Zenobia's victories are known throughout Manner Asia; even Rome shudders at the sound of her name. She is considered unconquerable, until Aurelian, commander in chief of the Roman Army, steps in. As ruler of Palmyra, Zenobia has no choice but to destroy Aurelian, but as a woman, she would submit her kingdom for the security of his arms. With the death of Claudius, many changes are seen within the Empire; Aurelian becomes Emperor and Zenobia's kingdom becomes the prize. General Aurelian has risen through the ranks and is credited with a long list of victories and achievements. He challenges Zenobia's authority and insists she surrender under the Roman Eagle. Their situation seems hopeless as Aurelian realizes he must become her executioner or lose control of the Roman Empire. But can he really kill the woman he has come to love?
