This movie is not only about tea; it's about collision and fusion of western and oriental principles of life, love and the family. It tells a love story between a Canadian young man, Kevin, and a Chinese young woman, Yang Lilian. San Dao Cha (三道è�'¶, Three-Course Tea), which originated in Dali, Yunnan, Chain, is famous in China for its special way of serving and different tastes of different courses of the tea, bitter first, sweet then, and finally lingering. Kevin was a UBC graduate and was not able to find a job related to his study field, and he was working in a Café. On Facebook, he knew a Chinese girl named Yang Lilian, who invited him to Dali, China for the San Dao Cha event, but never responded again a month before the event. Kevin asked his friend, David, who was operating a café in Dali “Foreigners Street” about Yang Lilian and San Dao Cha. David didn't know much about this, but invited Kevin to visit Dali and work for him...
