Reading Charles Dickens Along The Oregon Trail, is the story of one lonely young woman who decides to leave the haphazard care of her aunt and sets out on her own, on the long journey west along the Oregon Trail. One kind family with seven children take her in and she ends up teaching them, along with a group of other children, and so finds her niche as a teacher on the train reading to them from her many books, including her favorites like Charles Dickens and of course, the bible.



On the train, Priscilla finds tragedy and love, goes through trials and tribulations, and she finds that her love of God and life leads her through all, to a happy conclusion.
